The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Gwinnett County Police Department on November 13, 2023:
Update #2: What started out as a double shooting is now being investigated as a homicide. Daqwayvious Kleckley (age 20) has died as a result of his injuries. His mother, Deyawnday Kleckley (age 44), is still being treated for her injuries at a local hospital.
Terrance Washington is now facing additional charges, including Felony Murder and Malice Murder.
Update #1: The lead detective assigned to this case has charged Terrance Alonzo Washington (age 43) with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Theft by Taking. Washington was taken into custody in Warner Robbins several hours after last night’s shooting. He is currently incarcerated in their detention center.
Both the victims remain in critical condition and are being treated at local hospitals. The female victim (age 44) is the mother of the male
