The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Milledgeville Police Department on November 26, 2023:
BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. – On Saturday, November 25, 2023, at approximately 12:30pm, patrol units from the Milledgeville Police Department responded to the 2300 Block of Anthony Way in reference to multiple reports of shots fired.
While units were on the way to the scene they were advised of multiple homes and vehicles struck by gunfire. Callers also advised dispatchers that occupants of a red Dodge Charger and dark blue Toyota Corolla were observed shooting from the vehicles.
Officers arrived in the area and located a dark blue Toyota Corolla at the end of Anthony Way with several bullet holes and a sixteen-year-old male juvenile deceased in the front passenger seat.
As officers were securing the crime scene a Baldwin County deputy observed a red Dodge Charger on Dunlap Road and conducted a traffic stop. The Dodge Charger had bullet holes and all four occupants were detained and transported to the Baldwin County Jail for questioning by Milledgeville PD detectives.
