Parents arrested after 11 week old twins found with skull fractures one with anal tearing

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. – Hospital staff treating two 11-week-old babies alerted authorities when they discovered the infants suffering from skull fractures, rib fractures, bilateral brain tearing, and anal tearing. Medical examinations conducted at Egleston Hospital in Atlanta revealed that the female infant suffered anal tearing in multiple stages of healing, clearly caused by penetration, and the male suffered fractured ribs and a compound skull fracture, all in various healing stages.

The hospital determined there were “obvious signs of abuse.” A doctor said evidence indicated that the female’s anal injuries occurred from the time the parents brought her home from the hospital to the present.
