Fourth escaped Bibb County Jail inmate captured near Stockbridge in joint effort

The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on November 18, 2023:

Update #11: The (USMS) Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Henry County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Henry County Police, Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, and Clayton County Police in a coordinated operation have captured Joey Travis Fournier.

Joey Fournier, the fifty-two-year-old jail escapee from Macon was apprehended near Stockbridge, Georgia just before noon on Saturday.

Fournier will be returned to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center later today.

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said, “We are grateful that this last escapee has been captured. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of the hard working law enforcement officers from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and from all of our partner agencies who worked tirelessly to bring these four fugitives back into custody.”

Additional details will be released at a later time.
