BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – Local authorities received multiple calls on August 17 and 18, 2022, regarding an aggressive dog in the Bethesda Avenue area. Upon investigation, Bibb County Sheriff’s officers arrested a Macon woman for pouring hot grease on the canine, causing it severe injuries.

The first caller explained that the dog was in her daughter’s yard and had barked and growled at her daughter when she left for work at 5:00 AM. She said the canine was still there when she arrived later in the morning to prepare the children for school and the bus stop.

She and the children attempted to get the dog to go away, but “it wouldn’t leave, [and] even acted like it might bite.” The caller expressed concern regarding elementary school children arriving at the bus stop at 4:00 PM and walking home.
