CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. – A 31-year-old man was arrested on August 26, 2023, for arranging a meeting with a juvenile female for sex. The girl’s mother found a cell phone “her daughter got from an unknown person at school” and discovered text messages detailing his plans.
A Carroll County Sheriff’s officer met with the 15-year-old child’s mother for an interview. The concerned mother explained that the text messages were between her daughter and a man named Christian.
She said they revealed, “Christian was on his way to [their home] to pick up [her daughter] at midnight and take her to a motel for sex.”
The man, Christian Kwabenah Arthur from Atlanta, also stated he “would have some vape and marijuana for her to use.” She used this opportunity to text him, pretending to be her daughter.
She asked him to “just come on now to pick her up,” and he agreed.
