BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – When a sergeant and a deputy from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to Carolyn Clayton Park on Willie Smokie Glover Drive in Macon regarding a naked woman lying on a picnic table, the suspect initially complied and answered their questions. However, her demeanor quickly escalated into rage, resulting in her yelling at medical personnel and the deputy, calling the deputy names, and assaulting her.
When the sergeant and deputy first approached Donna Smitherman Jones, she admitted to removing her clothing and told them she did not know why. She asked them for water, but they did not have any available.
They called EMS to evaluate her and determine if she needed to be transported to the hospital. Jones willingly entered the ambulance but suddenly became irate when they asked her questions concerning her health.
