On July 29, 2023 I was dispatched to the intersection of Epstein Street and Martin Luther King Ave in reference to a assault that had just occurred.
Upon my arrival, I met with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated that his girl friend Diana Sanders stabbed him in the arm with a curtain rod. I observed him to be bleeding from his upper right arm. I looked closer and could see the laceration. At this time, Sgt. Kelsey Coursey, Officer Clay Morgan, and Deputy Cody Cliffton arrived on scene. Sgt Coursey and Ofc Morgan stayed with [REDACTED] while myself and Deputy Cliffton went to look for Diana.
We went to the back door of [300 BLOCK] Epstein Street Apartment [REDACTED], I knocked and announced myself as Vidalia Police Department. I ordered Diana out of the residence, which she complied with. Once she stepped out we walked over to Sgt. Coursey, thats when Diana stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] tried to hit her with a bottle on her head and thats when she cut him with the rod. Sgt Coursey then stated that Diana’s story wasn’t lining up with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and that she was being placed under arrest.
I then placed Diana in handcuffs behind her back and double locked them.
