DOUGHERTY COUNTY, Ga. – On November 27, 2023, Albany Police officers arrested 49-year-old Albany man Pernell Bernard Davis and charged him with rape and three counts of child molestation for assaulting his two female juvenile grandchildren. His daughter, the children’s mother, accused him of sexually assaulting her in the past as well.
The juveniles’ mother arrived at the Oglethorpe Boulevard Law Enforcement Center to report Davis. She explained that she discovered “sexually provocative text messages to boys” in her daughter’s cell phone after it broke, and she had to get it repaired.
