BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a personal robbery that took place just before 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Dollar General, located at 2797 Emery Highway. It was reported that an 84-year-old female was in the parking lot of the Dollar General on Emery Highway approaching her vehicle.
She was approached by three late teen males wearing all black. The subject attempted to take the keys to the female’s car, but she refused to give them up.
The suspect began striking the female causing injuries. This is when multiple other people intervened, and the suspects ran off. The victim was transport to Piedmont Hospital and is listed in stable condition at this time.
There is no further information on the suspects at this time. The above information is preliminary and could change as the investigation progresses.
