Update: The victim has been identified as Shania Green (age 18, Lawrenceville).
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. – Gwinnett County Police is investigating an incident on Chance Lane that resulted in the death of one female. Shortly after 1:00 a.m., officers assigned to the Bay Creek precinct responded to a residence on Chance Lane in reference to a person shot.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered what appeared to be a house party. Officers cleared the residence and discovered one deceased female.
Homicide detectives responded along with Crime Scene Investigators to process the scene and gather information.
