On Wednesday March 13, 2024. I, Sgt. Michael Munro was at the Burke County High School on lunch duty at 1200 hours when 2 students began fighting in the lunch area. Cy’Mar Thomas (offender) walked up to Terrence Adams (offender) and started punching him. Both students then began fighting at this time.
Michael Ervin (offender) who was walking behind Thomas then jumped into the fight and also began punching Adams in the face and body area. This caused a major disturbance during the lunch period. The fight was broke up. All the students were separated. During the altercation Adams obtained a deep laceration just above the left eye brow. Adams was seen by the school nurse for his injuries and she stated he will need stitches for his injury. Adams was escorted to the hospital for further evaluation by his parent.
After further investigation of this incident, a video from the day before shows Adams grabbing thomas by the hair and punching him in the face several times in one of the bathrooms. All three students were issued citations for disorderly conduct # 32492 #32493 #32494 for this incident. All students parents were notified and all were suspended pending tribunal by administrative staff for their actions.
