On 02-12-2024 Deputy Adam Ramey responded to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival Ramey located a male in a shed on the property holding a shotgun, Ramey gave verbal commands for the male to drop the gun and come to him. The male refused all verbal commands given by Ramey. Ramey continued to talk to the male for several minutes, before the male threw down the shotgun and came to Ramey. The male was intoxiated, and expressed that he wanted to die. More units arrived on scene, and secured the male in the back of a patrol vehicle.
The original caller was located coming out of the woods, who advised that she and her boyfriend had been in a verbal domestic, when he struck her in the head with a bottle. The victim stated the male then began shooting inside the residence, and she called 911 but hung up then ran out of the house into the woods. The male was placed under arrest and transported to the white county sheriff’s office.
