Reporting deputy responded to the above address in reference to a call of animal cruelty. A concerned citizen stated that several puppies were locked in a small pen with no food. The complainant stated that the pen was full of feces and the pups were starving. Reporting deputy responded to address, upon arrival in plain sight I saw the 5 puppies in the pen mentioned.

Upon further inspection I noticed that the puppies were in bad shape and appeared to be starving. The food bowl was full of feces. Reporting deputy took photographs and called animal control. Reporting deputy knocked on the residence door and a lady named Betty came to the door. I confirmed through Betty that she lived at the residence and the dogs belonged to her and her husband. I explained to Betty that the dogs were in terrible shape and informed her that she and her husband would be charged with animal cruelty.

3 Large dogs were tied on chains in the back yard. One of the dogs was in poor condition and didn’t have food, the dogs house was a metal barrel that had rain water in it. The barrel was not adequate shelter. Reporting deputy
