On 01/18/2024 I responded to the location of [100 BLOCK] Colton Dr in reference to a dispute. I spoke to [VICTIM #1] (the grandpa of the suspect and [VICTIM #2]). [VICTIM #1] advised that he observed [VICTIM #2] and Cody fighting and he tried to break them up during the fight and he received laceration on both arms (skin pealed back and bleeding). I asked [VICTIM #1] where [VICTIM #2] and Cody were and he advised that [VICTIM #2] was down stairs and Cody jumped in his vehicle and let the scene before deputies arrived.
I walked downstairs and I observed [VICTIM #2] laying on the floor near a fan that was turned on blowing air on him. I observed lacerations on [VICTIM #2]’s back, neck chest and his forehead appeared to be swollen. [VICTIM #2]’s nose also looked like he was struck in the nose and caused it to bleed.
I asked [VICTIM #2] what occurred and [VICTIM #2] advised that as he was walking up the stairs from the basement Cody was standing at the top of the stairs and kicked [VICTIM #2] in the chest. [VICTIM #2] advised that he and Cody exchanged fist strikes and [VICTIM #2] advised he tried to put Cody in Choke hold by placing his arm around Cody’s neck. [VICTIM #1] advised that at this point of the altercation is where he tried to break up the fight and possibly received his injuries.
[VICTIM #2] advised he wanted an ambulance because he did not feel well. An ambulance was requested for the victim and he was transported to Wellstar Paulding for treatment. [VICTIM #1] provided the identification information for Cody. [VICTIM #1] advised that he want Cody and [VICTIM #2] out of his residence. I explained the eviction process and I advised where to go to apply for an eviction.
