On 03/01/2024 at approximately 17:40 hours, I responded to the area of Randette Drive in regards to an assault call.
Upon my arrival I made contact with the victim, who was moving from Gwinett County to Newton County. He stated his ex girlfriend, who he lived with in Gwinett County, followed him from the residence to his new residence in Newton County. He stated when she arrived, she struck him in the head with a hammer and used the hammer to damage his vehicle.
I observed a laceration to the victim’s head on the left side. I also observed the windshield and the driver side passenger window damaged.
EMS responded to the scene. The victim stated he would transport himself. I provided the victim with a case number and instructions to obtain a copy of the report.
