On 01/28/2024 The patrol supervisor made contact with Jackson County communications in reference to a suspected rape.
At approximately 1700 Sgt. Glenn was notified by Jackson County communications in reference to a conference call with [WITNESS #1] regarding her daughter [VICTIM #1] being raped by her father Kevin Prather. I contacted Ms. [WITNESS #1] at approximately 1850 to gather the information that her daughter gave her.
Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that her daughter got raped last night on 1/27/2024 by Mr. Prather. Ms. [WITNESS #1] also stated that this has been going on since [VICTIM #1] was around eight to nine years old, [VICTIM #1] is now fifteen years old. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated her and Mr. Prather have been separated for approximately eight years and has not started the process of divorce.
Ms. [WITNESS #1] informed me that Mr. Prather lives in KOA [5400 BLOCK] Mt Olive Rd. on lot [REDACTED]. Mr. Prather has a white pull behind camper with black streaks on the side and says zinger on the front and back. Mr. Prather also has a work van with a decal on the side that reads TE Certified. Ms. [WITNESS #1] also stated that Mr. Prather has a girlfriend that lives with him and drives a white Toyota Tundra.
At the time of speaking with Ms. [WITNESS #1] she was taking [VICTIM #1] to the hospital to be evaluated and get a SANE exam done. CID has been notified and this case will be turned over to them.
