On Sunday June 18th, 2023 at approximately 2241 hours Deputy W. J. GIORGIONE with the Gordon County Uniform Patrol Division responded to the area of Dews pond Rd at Stendal Dr in reference to a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries.
Upon arrival Deputy GIORGIONE met with Driver of the vehicle ROYCE SMITH JR. Deputy GIORGIONE immediately observed ROYCE to have bloodshot and watery eyes as well as slurred speech. Deputy GIORGIONE also noticed a strong odor of marijuana and alcohol coming from ROYCE.
