BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – On December 24, 2023, Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two Macon men, Tyric Deontae Solomon and Charles Edward Solomon, for concealing the death of another. After responding to a person shot at a Fort Hill Street residence in Macon on December 23 and finding no victim, deputies received additional information, returned the following day, and located a deceased male in the bed of a truck.

On the day of the shooting, deputies arrived at the home and saw the suspect sitting in the backyard with “a busted lip.” He told them someone “got shot, and he was done talking to [them], and he wanted a lawyer.”

He seemed “agitated” and demanded that they “leave his property.” As they walked toward the front yard, the suspect “got louder and stated for everybody to get off his property.”

The suspect shoved Charles Solomon, who “bumped into” a deputy, “spilling alcohol (beer) on [the deputy’s] pants leg.” The deputies spoke with Tyric Solomon, who told them “his father” had gotten into “an altercation with his twin brother, and that’s how his lip was busted.”

When asked the whereabouts of his brother, he said he was “already gone” and “was not shot.” The deputies vacated the scene.

On December 24, 2023, deputies returned to the residence “in reference to [a] person shot and in [a] white pickup truck.” They saw the truck parked on the side of the road but did not see a victim in the back.

They saw the suspect again, and he stated that “nobody called” law
