The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Gwinnett County Police Department on December 5, 2023:
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. – The Gwinnett County Police Department Robbery Unit identified two suspects accused of multiple ATM robberies of several hundred thousand dollars. On September 9, officers assigned to the West Precinct were dispatched to a robbery at a bank on Jimmy Carter Blvd. in unincorporated Norcross.
The officers learned that two suspects robbed the ATM technician as he was making repairs to the machine. Four days later, on September 13, detectives learned of a similar robbery at an ATM on Hampton Green in Duluth.
On September 22, a similar crime occurred at a bank in Forsyth County. Detectives in Forsyth County coordinated with our Robbery Unit to share information on the incidents. Detectives believed that the same two suspects were responsible for the crimes.
Combining data from Flock cameras and social media, criminal charges were secured against Danzil Earl (age 30, Atlanta) and Ronnie Lewis
