On 07/16/2023, I responded in emergency mode to the 400 block of Heard Ave in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, I made contact with a black female who identified herself as [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] walked out of [400 BLOCK] Heard Ave Apt [REDACTED]. [VICTIM #1] advised that her residence had been shot up.
[VICTIM #1] reported that she was inside the residence watching television when she heard what she thought to be fireworks. [VICTIM #1] advised that she heard the glass break and a black female named [WITNESS #1] scream from the kitchen. [VICTIM #1] reported she went to the kitchen to check on [WITNESS #1] and was fine.
[VICTIM #1] advised that she heard her yelling that someone was shot, and her granddaughter, a black female named Mariah Mack, and her friend, a black male named [VICTIM #2], came into the residence. [VICTIM #1] advised [VICTIM #2] was bleeding and had been shot. [VICTIM #1] reported that she didn’t see anything or know what was happening. [VICTIM #1] said she had a hole in the window of the residence. [VICTIM #1] had no complaints or visible injuries.
I made contact with [VICTIM #2], who had his left leg wrapped up in a blue towel. [VICTIM #2] had an open wound (graze) on his lower left thigh. [VICTIM #2] was grazed on his left forearm and the front of his neck. [VICTIM #2] injuries were not life-threatening, and he was conscious and breathing. I didn’t observe any other injuries on him due to the shooting.
[VICTIM #2] advised that he was outside on the porch of this residence. [VICTIM #2] reported that he was looking at his phone when he started hearing gunshots. [VICTIM #2] said he didn’t know where the gunshots were
