On June 24, 2023 at approximately 1707 hours, I, Deputy Sheriff (DS) Jacob Conley #176 observed a tan 2001 Chevrolet S10 displaying Florida tag [REDACTED] with the driver and front seat passenger not wearing seatbelts. The violation was observed while conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 29 N at Weldon Road.
I conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at [5500 BLOCK] Highway 29 N. I made contact with the driver, Derrick Rosenberry, front seat passenger, Donna Nguyen and rear seat passenger, Jennifer Snider. The occupants were then advised why they were stopped.
I observed Derrick and Donna still without a seatbelt on, both stated they had taken it off while I stopped them. Derrick had stated [5500 BLOCK] Highway 29 N was where he was headed.
