I was dispatched to the listed address in reference to a domestic.
Upon arrival deputies observed a male walking on the curtilage of the residence, beside the tree line approaching the street. When deputies tried approaching the subject to talk to him, he backed away, became defensive, and continued backing away. Based on my experience, he was making a big deal out of us approaching him by trying to hide his involvement with what occurred inside the residence.
After a few minutes the male, later identified as Calvin Landy, stated, “I just had something go on with someone inside the house.” I observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Landy’s person and breath. Landy also slurred his words and his eyes were bloodshot and watery.
