COBB COUNTY, Ga. – Cobb County Police officers arrested pediatrician and proprietor of Total Care Pediatrics in Austell, Georgia, Dr. Melvin Gerald Perry, on Friday, December 15, 2023, for the second time since July 2022. Perry, a 55-year-old Mableton man, faces charges of felony false imprisonment and three misdemeanors, including terroristic threats, criminal trespass, and simple assault for an incident the previous day involving a medical employee.
On December 14, 2023, Perry allegedly threatened a female medical worker at Kaiser Permanente West Cobb Medical Center while she attempted to draw his blood. He did not allow her to complete her task and physically blocked her from leaving the room when she informed him she was exiting to call security.
