On June 12th at 0007hrs., I was patrolling Knox Bridge Highway. As I neared the private drive of Knox Bridge RV and Boat Storage, I witnessed a gray SUV parked in the turn lane with all of the lights off and believed the vehicle to be abandoned.

As I approached the vehicle and relayed the abandoned vehicle information to Dispatch, I exited my vehicle and walked to the passenger side of the SUV. As I reached the front window, I witnessed a white female sitting in the driver’s seat with the vehicle off and no other parties inside. I observed the interior of the vehicle was filled with numerous bags.

I knocked on the passenger side window and asked the driver to roll her window down. It took the female a few seconds to locate the window control and when she did locate it, she only lowered the window approximately 2 inches. I introduced myself and asked the female what she was doing on the side of the road. The female stated she was seeking medical attention.

I then asked the female why she was sitting if she was in need of medical attention. The female advised her GPS became scrambled and she was trying to get to Florida to see a doctor and receive the medicine she
