On June 20, 2023, at 5:46 pm, Deputy C. Thompson, 2418, while on uniform patrol with the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office, was patrolling Highway 121 North at about the 26 mile-post when I noticed a dark in colored S.U.V. in the ditch on the North bound side of the road. The vehicle was facing South and appeared to be stuck in the ditch.
I exited my patrol vehicle, and inside the vehicle’s driver seat was a white female who was revving the engine, trying to get the vehicle unstuck. The vehicle was in drive, and her attempt to get the vehicle out of the ditch buried the vehicle in the mud.
