On December 12, 2023 I, Lt. N. McDowell, was dispatched to [600 BLOCK] Martin L. King Jr. Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance. I made contact with Andre Hairston and he stated that his sister, Aunae Meredith, had pushed him and that he pushed her back and she then struck him in the throat with a knife in the hand she hit him with.
I observed no signs of Andre being struck. A witness, [WITNESS #1], stated that she seen Aunae swing at him but there was no knife in her hand.
I made contact with Aunae Meredith at the residence and she stated that her brother, Andre Hairston, and her were inside the residence arguing about the loud music and who he was bringing around the residence when Andre struck her with his body in an insulting nature and when I asked about her punching him, she stated that she did not punch him.
Both Andre and Aunae were placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to jailer on duty.
