On 6/11/2023, at approximately 0122 hours, I, Ofc. Massey, was patrolling the area of Industrial Boulevard (north) in my conspicuously marked Villa Rica patrol vehicle equipped with emergency lights and siren. As I was patrolling this area, I observed a white 2007 GMC Sierra (GA tag: [REDACTED BY AGENCY], VIN: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) traveling directly in front of my patrol vehicle.
As the Sierra passed the entrance to Arbor Bend Apartments, I observed the passenger side tire of the Sierra strike the white lane divider. The Sierra continued traveling northbound on Industrial Boulevard and drifted toward the yellow centerline. I observed the driver side tire of the Sierra strike the yellow centerline.
I initiated a traffic stop on the Sierra for the moving violations by activating my emergency lights, in-turn activating my in-car camera system. The Sierra came to a rest on Industrial Boulevard near its intersection with Industrial Court East. I exited my patrol vehicle, activated my body-worn camera, and conducted a driver’s side approach on the Sierra.
