On Monday June 12th, 2023 at 1625 hours I was dispatched to [40 BLOCK] Jordan Rd Cartersville, GA 30120 in reference to a sexual offense report.
Upon arrival I met with State Probation Office Molly Stone who advised she was conducting a compliance check on probationer Phillip McCurry. During the search they had located child pornography on Phillip’s computer. Once they found the pornography they ceased the search and called Bartow Dispatch for a Deputy and Investigator.
I contacted Investigator Kathy Sinclair and made her aware of the situation. Investigator Sinclair secured an arrest warrant for Phillip McCurry and a search warrant for his electronics.
I detained Phillip, Investigator Sinclair arrived with the arrest warrant and I placed Phillip under arrest. Investigator Sinclair read Phillip his Miranda rights but he refused to talk. I placed Phillip in my patrol unit and escorted him to the Bartow County Jail.
The scene was turned over to Investigator Sinclair.
