On 06/22/2023 at 0000 hours, officers were dispatched to [400 BLOCK] North Bamboo Lane in reference to a Domestic Dispute.
I arrived on scene and made contact with the complainant, Margaret Wilson. She stated that [VICTIM #1] had assaulted her, hitting her in the face with his fists and a bat. She refused Emergency Services at the residence during our initial interview with her. Margaret stated that she had done nothing to provoke [VICTIM #1] into a violent altercation.
She stated that after the violent altercation, [VICTIM #1] went up the road to his niece’s house. Officers did a preliminary examination of Margaret’s face and arms in order to locate the bruises she alleged [VICTIM #1] had inflicted on her. There were no signs of physical trauma to Margaret.
I was flagged down at [400 BLOCK] North Bamboo lane by [WITNESS #1], [VICTIM #1]’s niece, who stated that her uncle had been attacked. [VICTIM #1] was located on the front porch of her residence and I made contact with him to confirm [WITNESS #1]’s allegations.
