On 8/4/2023 at 2050 hours, Officers were dispatched to 194 US 301 S (Western Motel) in reference a black male wearing a white tank top with a firearm in a black shoulder bag in a room.
Upon my arrival at 2051 hours, I stood by while backup arrived due to the nature of the call. While waiting, I had an unknown black male later identified as Jermaine Culbreath (suspect) approach my patrol vehicle and stated the male with the firearm was walking towards our direction. Culbreath then walked away towards McDonald’s.
I observed a black male who matched the description walking towards me. I advised the male to show me his hands and to walk towards me. I asked the black male who was later identified as [WITNESS #1] (other) if he had a firearm. [WITNESS #1] stated he had a BB gun in his shoulder bag. I asked [WITNESS #1] to hand me his bag which he agreed to, I then placed the bag on the top of my patrol vehicle.
