On 5/12/2024 at approximately 1144 hours, I was dispatched to the listed location in reference to harassment. When I arrived on scene, the listed suspect was sitting on the sidewalk in front of the neighbors house.
I got out of my patrol car and began speaking with the female victim. She stated that the suspect has been stalking and harassing her and her family. She stated that the suspect called in to report child abuse yesterday because they were teaching their kids how to play catch. She stated that the suspect has stolen property from them in the past and tried burning their property. She stated that she has made multiple reports and nothing is being done.
She stated that today, her kids knocked down the curtain that was over the window that overlooks their driveway. When her kids tried fixing them, they saw the suspect standing on the sidewalk outside their house recording them on her cell phone. She stated that they are scared of her and what she might do. She stated that when she went outside to speak with her about why she was recording them, she would just pace back and forth from the sidewalk in front of their residence and the neighbors driveway.
While speaking with her, the suspect began yelling at the male victim, who was sitting in a chair in front of their front door. She began calling him names like child abuser and such, causing a disturbance. I then went to speak with her.
I introduced myself as deputy haven with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. I asked her what was going on and she stated that the victims were harassing her. I asked her why she was harassing this family and she stated that it is because they had her arrested for stealing and she did not steal anything. She then turned away from me and started walking away. I then told her to come back and she refused and kept walking.
I then placed her in custody for the listed charges. I handcuffed her behind the back, checked for fit and double locked. I then searched her for weapons and contraband. None were found. I then searched the rear of my patrol car for weapons and contraband. None were found. I then placed her in the back of my patrol car. I then went back to speaking with the victims.
The male victim stated that he wanted something done about her harassing and stalking them. I then advised them of services and provided them with the case number for the report, as well as the other case numbers that they have had interactions with the suspect that generated a case report. They are case numbers-2024-00016590, 2024-00012280, 2023-00039266. I also put them on the extra patrol list for the next two weeks.
