On March 16, 2024, at 2309 hours, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Ken Visage Road in regard to the suspect telling Walker County dispatch that he was physically struck by the listed other. The suspect then told Walker County dispatch that he regretted calling and didn’t want anyone to respond.
I spoke with the suspect and he admitted to falsely reporting a crime to Walker County dispatch. After being advised that he was under arrest for falsely reporting a crime, he stated he lied about his verbal report to me.
I spoke to the listed other and a witness. They stated the situation was never physical and was only verbal.
