On 05/30/24 I, Deputy A. Brown, responded to a call in reference to a family fight. Upon arrival I spoke with the complainant who stated he was walking down the street to confront another kid in the neighborhood about talking about his mother. The complainant stated at this time his brother told him to come back and the offender who is his grandfather told him to come to him and tell him what was going on.

The complainant stated he did not go toward his grandfather ,(offender), but went toward his grandmother to tell her what was going on. At this time the complainant stated the offender walked over and got into his face. The complainant stated the offender began to yell and scream at him and his brother (victim 2) interved. The complainant stated this made the offender more upset and began to swing on him and his brother kicking them and grabbing them and scratching them.

The offender and witness gave the same stories as the juvenile. The offender was placed under arrest, searched and placed in the back of my patrol vehicle for transport to the Newton County Jail. Upon arrival to the Jail I secured my duty weapon in the sallyport and turned the offender over to jail staff. Supervisor was notified of arrest. Warrants were obtained.
