On Sunday, 11-27-2022, I was dispatched to the area of Boogers Hill Rd, Oxford, GA, in reference to a family fight. Upon my arrival, I made contact with the complainant who advised that she was arguing with her husband in the kitchen of the residence and his father stepped in trying to break up the argument and was attacked by her husband.
The complainant advised her husband attacked his father by choking him with both his hands and threatening to kill everyone in the residence. The complainant advised that shortly after the father was able to break loose from her husband, he went into his room to retrieve his weapon.
The complainant advised her husband went outside the residence and his father followed behind. The complainant stated they began exchanging gunfire and her husband left the property in his vehicle.
Once other Deputies arrived on the scene, we canvassed the area and located 10 shell casings. I went inside the residence and did not locate any shells casing or damage to the property.
Once CID and the Crime scene unit arrived, the scene was turned over for further investigation.
