On 05/05/2023, Investigator C. Manac of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office observed suspicious activity occurring at [1700 BLOCK] Northside Drive, Lakeside Apartments. Contact was made with an unknown black male subject, suspected to be ZYKERRIAN THORNTON, inside of the complex.
During said contact, the unknown subject fled on foot concealing a firearm. A K9 unit responded and conducted a track of the subject. During said track, a stolen firearm was recovered from an area in which the subject was seen concealing himself. This incident is pending further investigation.
RECOVERED FIREARMS: Silver/Teal SCCY CPX-1 9mm (SERIAL# 925935), listed as STOLEN out of the Valdosta Police Department
