HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. – A man serving time for concealing the death of Georgia teacher and beauty queen Tara Grinstead has entered guilty pleas to reduced charges in two unrelated rape cases, securing a deal that spares him from additional prison time.

According to records from Houston County Superior Court, 39-year-old Bo Dukes reached plea agreements on November 13, resolving charges related to alleged rapes in 2017 and 2019, where he reportedly threatened the victims with weapons. As part of the agreement, Dukes pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with intent to rape in both cases and also admitted guilt to possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. More than a dozen other charges were dismissed as part of the deal.

The new sentences handed down to Dukes will not increase the existing 25-year prison term he is currently serving for his involvement in the death and disappearance of Grinstead.
