On September 11, 2023, at approximately 3:00 PM, I, Officer Shaw (badge 127) with Saint Marys Police Dept, Saint Marys, GA 31558 Camden County, received a call from [VICTIM #1], who was distressed about her neighbor Rebecca Call sending her numerous messages on Facebook at all hours of the night. Ms. Call claimed that Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s boyfriend ran over her dog the day before, and the police were called out. Ms. [VICTIM #1] showed me over 30 messages from Ms. Call and a missed call on Facebook.

After speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #1], I went to Ms. Call’s residence at [700 BLOCK] Regal Rd Saint Marys, GA 31558, Camden County, to inquire about the harassing communications. I noticed the injured dog in her house window and asked about its condition. Ms. Call kept changing her story about the dog being taken to the vet. Finally, she admitted that the dog was injured and hadn’t yet been treated. Ms. Call demanded that Ms. [VICTIM #1] pay the vet bill, so she continued to message Ms. [VICTIM #1].

To ensure the safety of the dog, Sgt. Stokes (121) contacted Animal Control, who arrived and assessed the dog’s injuries. The animal control officers found that the dog’s right eye was severely injured and needed immediate medical attention. The dog was in obvious pain and was whimpering. They did not seize the dog but turned it over to a family member.
