[NARRATIVE #1 on February 07, 2022]

On 7 February 2022 I, Cpl Ostrow, responded to 1800 Pio Nono Ave (Quickzip) in reference to a car jacking.

Upon arrival contact was made with Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Ms [VICTIM #2]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and Ms. [VICTIM #2] went into the store to get a few items. She stated that when they came out three young black males wearing all black and masks on approached, showing a firearm and told them to give her car (gray 2015 Jeep Patriot[REDACTED]) to them. She advised that one of the males pointed a black pistol at her. She stated that she did as they told and the three males drove off northbound on Pio Nono.

Ms. [VICTIM #2] stated that one of the males physically picked her up and put her out of the vehicle. Inv. Tobler was notified and arrived on scene.

The Jeep Patriot was entered into NCIC/GCIC as stolen.

A Victim’s rights case card was given.

[NARRATIVE #2 on August 05, 2022]

On August 05, 2022, I, Deputy Pettigrew was dispatched to the address 6020 Harrison Rd in reference to a person shot. Upon my arrival, I made contact with several individuals that witnessed in reference the victim ([REDACTED]) got shot.

I performed chest compressions on the victim at the scene as fire responded and took over.

[WITNESS #1] stated that she and [REDACTED] came out of the store to put their groceries in the trunk of the vehicle and were approached by two black male suspects. A slim individual and a heavy-set male. They demanded keys to [WITNESS #1]’s vehicle and [REDACTED] during the confrontation pulled a knife to defend himself and was shot by the heavy-set black male.

[WITNESS #2] informed flagged me down when I was conducting an arrest on Chambers Rd she informed me that two male suspects got out of a black Volkswagen vehicle. She stated one suspect had on a black hoodie with black gloves and the heavy set male had on a cross bag on his chest which he pulled the gun from.

The video surveillance system was reviewed and displayed the two suspects running on foot from the scene and picking up the shell casings from the scene.

Investigator Tobler responded and will be handling this case.
